Fibre Flurry
moved!
Whose behind Fibre Flurry?

That ‘s me - Mikayla!

(With a little help from  Matty and some wonderful friends too!)

I’ve been knitting on and off for over 20 years  after being taught by my wonderful Nanan.  I started knitting seriously again 5 years ago after being given yarn, needles and a copy of Stitch and Bitch  by Debbie Stoller for Christmas. After that I discovered Ravelry, got involved in some events and Fibre Flurry was born!

About Us

2010 was the start of Fibre Flurry, when I decided to organise a fibre based event in the midlands, full of independent dyers, designers and producers from around the UK.

We had a fantastic first year, with a building full of the wonderful producers I wanted to attend.

We followed this with a great event in 2011 with amazing new producers and designers attending too. 2012 is still in the planning stages, keep an eye out for more details soon!

After the success of the event in 2010, I was offered space in St Nicolas Place for a yarn shop - and I of course jumped at the opportunity! We opened in June 2011 with the same ethos of specialising in independent producers and natural fibres. We have exciting plans for 2012, starting with a move! We moved into new premises over the 2011 Christmas period, and re-open in Hall Green on 3rd January 2012.

Natural Fibres

We love natural fibre!

All of the yarn we sell has at least 70% natural fibre in it, and we try to source the most natural fabrics and felts too.

Independent Producers

We stock a number of independent producers from across the UK. We have gorgeous yarns, stitch markers, project bags and more in stock.
